(Oct. 20, 2005) ???C Oakland University???s Senior Associate Athletics Director, Tracy Huth, will be one of the featured speakers at the Career and Professional Development Sport Conference that will be held at Madonna University on Friday, October 21. Huth will speak at a break-out session of the conference entitled ???Big Time Athletics vs. Mid-Major Athletics???. A longtime member of the Oakland athletics family, Tracy Huth is entering his sixth year as the associate athletics director for the Golden Grizzlies after serving five as the assistant athletics director for compliance and student services. He is responsible for supervising the department's compliance activities and monitoring all aspects of student-athlete welfare. He also has supervisory responsibility for OU's men's and women's soccer teams. Huth, who has been on the Oakland staff since 1987 when he started as the women???s swimming & diving coach, retired from coaching in 1998 to focus on his position as assistant AD. He also served as the meet director for the 1999 National Independent Conference Swimming & Diving Championship hosted by Oakland.
