Rochester, Mich. (Jan. 31, 2005) ???C Oakland???s upcoming men???s basketball game with UMKC on Feb. 3 will be the first of two this season for the ???Take a Kid to the Game??? program. The program, sponsored by Oakland Athletics and the NCAA, will enable an Oakland staff or faculty member with an OU ID card to bring in a child (12 and under) free to the game with the purchase of an adult admission. Once at the game, coloring books, magnets, etc. will be handed out to the kids. At halftime, the kids will also get the chance to "take the floor" and dance with The Grizz! There will be two dates for the program this season, on this Thursday, Feb. 3 when Oakland hosts first-place UMKC at 6 p.m. The program will be repeated for the women???s game on Feb. 19 when OU hosts Chicago State at 3:30 p.m.
