Rochester, Mich. (Jan. 13, 2005) ???C Oakland University???s Department of Athletics will be helping out with Tsunami relief efforts next week on campus as a part of a ???Soup for Supper??? fundraiser for the victims of last month???s disaster in Asia. For a $5 donation, a donor will receive an endless bowl of soup and a free ticket to Monday night???s women???s basketball game with UMKC. The supper will be held on Monday, January 17 in the Gold Rooms of the Oakland Center on the OU campus. All funds raised at the event will go to the American Red Cross International Response Fund for Tsunami Relief and Recovery Efforts. In addition to soup, the dinner will also include bread/crackers, beverage and dessert. The event is sponsored by Athletics Department, Center for Student Activities, Division of Student Affairs & St. John Fisher Chapel.
