Auburn Hills, Mich. ???C Oakland University???s athletics department and the Auburn Hills Meijer???s store teamed up yesterday to host the first annual Meijer Madnezz at the Auburn Hills Meijer store. Customers at the store were able to meet OU student-athletes and athletics staff members and were entertained by the OU Pep Band, the Grizz and the Images dance team. Meijer Madnezz is a first-time event for Oakland and is a joint effort between the athletics department and Meijer to promote Golden Grizzly athletics to area residents. Meijer, a Premier Golden Grizzlies sponsor, is offering all OU students, faculty and staff, a 10 percent discount on all general merchandise with a valid Oakland ID during Welcome Week (Sept. 2-6).
