Rochester, Mich. ???C Oakland University had a total of 57 student-athletes named to the winter and spring Mid-Continent Academic All-Conference teams it was announced today. To be selected for the team a student-athlete must achieve a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average, be a sophomore or higher academic standing and compete in the sport for which he/she is nominated. Oakland???s 57 selections to the team were the second most in the eight team league. Oakland???s women???s swimming and diving team contributed the most student-athletes to the list, with 12 squad members gaining recognition. The Golden Grizzly softball team had 10 honorees, while the baseball and women???s basketball teams had seven each on the team. Oakland???s women???s golf team had six honorees, with men???s swimming and diving five, men???s golf and women???s tennis four, and men???s basketball two. Six of Oakland???s teams, women???s basketball, men???s and women???s swimming and diving, men???s and women???s golf, and softball, had the most honorees of any of their counterparts in the conference.
