Oakland University will host the eighth annual Ford Cup Golf Tournament on Monday, June 24 beginning at 7 a.m. at the Katke-Cousins and R&S Sharf golf courses on the university's campus. This year, participants have the choice of which course they choose to play. The event is sponsored by the 31 Metro Detroit Ford Dealers, Pepsi and the Office of the President. All proceeds will benefit women's athletics and help to underwrite scholarships, mentoring and advising programs, life-skills programs, equipment purchases, travel and recruiting expenses, and maintaining first-class facilities for more than 130 female student athletes. OU alum and Vice President for Environmental and Safety Engineering at Ford Motor Company, Susan Cischke, is the honorary chairperson. This is her first year chairing the event. The entry fee for the Katke-Cousins golf course is $175 and the fee for the R&S Sharf golf course is $300. Entry fee for each person includes green fees and cart, tee prize, pre-tee time breakfast, door prizes, hole-in-one prizes, silent auction and lunch at Meadow Brook Hall.
