While most of Oakland University swimming and diving members are in Indianapolis defending it's Mid-Continent Conference Championship a few are in East Meadow, New York in the US Open earning national recognition. As of Thursday on the men's side Sean Broadbent finished seventh in the 50 free while Tim Johnson and Chris Sullivan finished in 12th and 17th respectively. In the 100 breaststroke senior Mark Quinn finished in 18th and fellow senior Dave Hartzel finished 8th in the 200 back. On the women's side Kazakhstan native Oksana Strelets finished in seventh place in the 50 free. The US Open resumes action on Friday, November 30 and the meet concludes on Saturday, December 1.
