The Oakland University's men's and women's swimming and diving season is here and the Golden Grizzlies will begin competition on the road in Bowling Green, Ohio this Friday, October 19. This makes the third straight year that OU has opened at the Bowling Green Relays. The relays start with diving at 11 a.m. and swimming at 5 p.m. The women's first home meet of the year is Wednesday, October 24 at 6:30 p.m. against Michigan State. The men's team, along with the women, battle against Wright State Saturday, November 3 at 12 noon at OU's Aquatic Center. The men's team, defending Mid Continent Conference Champions, is looking forward to another great season and looks to improve on it's third place finish in the National Independent Conference Championship. The women's team looks to retain the Mid-Con Championship title as the Golden Grizzlies head into their 2001-02 season. The Golden Grizzlies finished second last year in the National Independent Conference Championship and strive for that first-place position.
