Kansas City, MO. - Women's soccer continues to set the gold standard as a program, receiving the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2022-23 season.
This award, presented by the United Soccer Coaches College Services, recognizes collegiate teams who hold the highest academic standards, off the field.
The Golden Grizzlies held a team GPA of 3.74 in 2022-23, the highest of any Women's Soccer team in program history.
"The program has a long-standing tradition of excellence on and off the field, and our student-athletes' academic accomplishments reflect their commitment to their academic pursuits," said Women's Soccer Head Coach
Juan Pablo Favero. "We are proud of the team as they achieved the program's highest-ever GPA last year, and are grateful to the USC for recognizing our program's achievements."
This is the 13th year in a row that the Oakland Women's Soccer Team has been awarded this academic honor, showcasing the excellence, hard work, and dedication by the student-athletes in the program.
