ROCHESTER, Mich.-Oakland's Steve Neill swam a season best 16:34.31 in the 1,650-yard freestyle Friday night during day one of the 2016 Michigan Open at the Oakland Aquatic Center. He broke his previous season best time by nearly six second on his way to a sixth place finish.

Members of the Oakland men's and women's swim team will continue to battle for the remaining spots on both championship teams Saturday, Feb. 13 beginning at 8:30 a.m.
