Coach Pogue Interview
ROCHESTER, Mich.--Six players signed a National Letter of Intent to play with the Oakland men's soccer team in 2012, announced head coach Eric Pogue on Wednesday. Shawn Claud Lawson, Nathan Rose, Jacob Vanderlaan, Zoumana Cisse, Lars Engen and Mark Hiller have each signed NLI's during the early signing period.
"I'm really excited about these six players that we have signed during this early signing period," said Pogue. "I think they're great additions and we're still going to add a few more."
"I give a lot of credit to my two assistants, recruiting coordinator Stephen Gorton and Jason Perry, they both did a great job. This year we tried to capitalize on Stephen's experience at the junior college level to bring in players with more experience. This group has experience at the JC and international level."
